Preparing for Your Consultation

To ensure a productive lighting design consultation, consider the following preparation tips:

Fill out the Design With Light questionnaire.

This helps us know more about you.

Gather Inspiration

Before your consultation, collect images or examples of lighting designs that resonate with you and attach them to the Design With Light questionnaire.. This could include photos from magazines, websites, or even social media platforms. Having a visual reference can help the designer understand your style preferences.

Define Your Goals

Think about what you want to achieve with your lighting design. Are you looking to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, or do you want a more modern and sleek look? Clearly defining your goals will help guide the consultation.

Have a budget in mind.

Let us know what your budget is ahead of time so we can set goals and expectations from the start.

Assess Your Space

Take some time to evaluate your space. Consider the following:

  • What areas need the most attention?

  • Are there any existing fixtures you want to keep or replace?

  • How do you currently use the space, and how would you like to use it in the future?

Prepare Questions

Come prepared with questions for your designer. This could include inquiries about:

  • Different types of lighting fixtures

  • Energy efficiency options

  • Circadian rhythm options

We are so glad you stopped by. From all of us at Design With Light, we look forward to working with you.
